Health Power sponsors are corporations, governmental organizations, foundations,
faith institutions, and other entities that provide grants, contracts, pro bono
services - directly or through underwriting - or major financial discounts for their
services. They do so to support and advance Health Power, its nationally unique
web site, and the other programs and services it provides.
Our first two Sponsors were
Fusion Productions
and
Iron Design, both of whom collaborated with
Health
Power in the design and development of this web site of its original web site..
Abbott Laboratories supported
Health Power’s
coordination of the HIV/AIDS segment of an Annual Meeting of Region I, National
Medical Association.
Aetna, a
Health Power Banner Sponsor, joined forces
with
Health Power for multicultural health by helping to eliminate health
disparities in multicultural populations. The focus was on Health Power’s "Multicultural
Health Improvement Through The Internet initiative".
American Heart Association, the first,
and an ongoing,
Health Power Banner Sponsor, has provided support for a wide
range of
Health Power programs and activities, especially web site development.
GSK and
Health Power collaborated on two important
projects:
- Development and widely distributing consumer information about preventing and controlling
depression, and
- A Think Tank sponsored by the New York Business Group on Health, From Health Disparities
to Improved Health Outcomes: Leveraging Diversity and the Worksite for Better Diabetes
Control. This event was Co-Sponsored by GSK and Aetna, and Health Power’s President
was Keynote Speaker.
